Making Mistakes

 Quote of the Day:
"Mistakes are the portals of discovery." ~James Joyce

Questions to Ponder:
Do you hate it when you make a mistake? Do you get annoyed when others make mistakes? I know I've been guilty of both of those at points in my life. In fact, I'm a recovering perfectionist. I'm learning that "done" is better than "perfect" and that mistakes teach me key lessons along the way. But when I make a mistake, I'll sometimes feel dumb, or embarrassed, or incompetent. What takes the sting out for me is that at least I know I'm moving forward. If you're not making mistakes, you're not trying hard enough.

Action Step:
Think of the last time you really--REALLY messed up. How did you feel? What did you learn? Write down the learning you gleaned and give thanks for mistake you made. You're growing. Be proud of that.
